A blend of ingredients that support healthy breast tissue, including Calcium D-Glucarate. Glucaric acid is a substance found in many fruits and vegetables with the highest concentrations to be found in oranges, apples, grapefruit, and cruciferous vegetables. When Combined with small amounts of calcium it becomes Calcium D-Glucarate.

Why Calcium-d-glucurate?
The process of glucuronidation (pronounced glue-cure-on-i-dation) is the combining of glucuric acid with toxic and potentially carcinogenic substances in the liver. Calcium-d-glucurate increases glucuronidation and the excretion of toxic substances, especially estrogen, through the stool. An enzyme produced by bacteria in the colon, named beta-glucuronidase, is capable of reversing the glucuronidation process by breaking the bond between the estrogen and the glucuric acid. When this occurs, estrogen can "recycle" throughout the body, increasing exposure of breast to estrogen.
Research has shown a low level of glucaric acid correlates with a higher risk for various cancers, particularly breast cancer. Therefore, oral supplementation with calcium-d-glucarate to inhibits beta-glucuronidase, which in turn, decreases the affect of estrogen on the breasts and lowers risk of hormone-dependent cancers such as breast, prostate, and colon cancers. Indole-3-carbinol (I3C) is a phytonutrient found in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and cabbage. Research has shown that these compounds helps to breakdown cancer-causing estrogens to non-toxic forms. Di-indolylmethane (DIM) is a substance also found in cruciferous vegetables. In vitro studies have suggested that it helps protect against breast cancer.
Interestingly, in a placebo-controlled human trial, 200 mg/day I3C resulted in complete regression of cervical precancerous growths in four of eight patients, and 400 mg/day resulted in complete regression in four of nine patients. In the placebo group, no patients had complete regression. Results indicate that I3C has potential therapeutic affects against HPV-induced growths in the cervix (negating the need for Gardacil, the cervical cancer vaccine.) (REF: Jin L, et al. A low level of Vitamin E was strongly predictive in skin cancers and carried a slightly elevated risk in breast cancers. A sample of 15,093 women, aged 15–99 and initially free from cancer, participated in the Finnish Social Insurance Institution's Mobile Clinic Health Survey in 1968–71. When followed up 8 years later, women who had the lowest levels of alpha-tocopherol had a 1.6-fold increased risk of cancer when adjusted for other factors. (REF: Knekt P. Several large studies have shown that taking supplemental folic acid is protective against breast cancer. Folic acid is safe up to 5000 ugm per day.
