Product Description
Coenzyme Q10 100 mg
Vitamin E 100 IU
NOTE: The reason this is more expensive that other CoQ10 products is the following:
1) the gel cap has the best bioavailability; 2) rice bran oil is used instead of soy oil; 3) raw material has studies to show this form of CoQ10 is 3x more absorbed than competitors.
The large body of evidence supporting the importance of CoQ-10 supplementation has been embraced in virtually every corner of the medical and scientific communities. Named for its vast presence in healthy body function, Ubiquinone (CoQ-10) has impressed researchers for years for its array of contributions to good health. CoQ10 is widely known for its positive affect on cardiovascular health. What is little known is its important role in breast health.
In late 1993, doctors treated 32 patients with advanced, high risk breast cancer. In addition to appropriate surgery and conventional treatment, each patient was given 90 mg of CoQ10 per day. They also received other vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids. On this regimen, 6 of the 32 patients showed partial tumor regressions, significant in advanced patients.
In October 1993, a one of these six patients with tumor regression increased her dosage from 90 to 390 mg per day. One month later, her tumor was no longer palpable and in the following month, a mammogram confirmed the disappearance of her tumor. A second patient followed suit and within months, her tumor disappeared. Clinical examination revealed no evidence of the prior residual tumor and regression of her distant metastases.(Ref: Lockwood K, Moesgaard S, Hanioka T, Folkers K. Apparent partial remission of breast cancer in ‘high risk’ patients supplemented with nutritional antioxidants, essential fatty acids and coenzyme Q10. (REF: Molec Aspects Med 1994;5(Suppl):S231–40.)
